2018 Wildwood Weekend Just Days Away
The annual New Jersey Firemen's Convention is just days away. Wildwood Weekend is slated for Thursday, September 13 through Saturday, September 15 in Wildwood, New Jersey. This annual gathering of fire departments from throughout the state is the kickoff to a great year of events for the Hunter's Heroes Foundation.
Thousands of firefighters will descend on Wildwood and surrounding shore towns for three to four days. Those who visit Wildwood for the convention can check out hundreds of fire trucks on display, vendors, and attend meetings and classes at the Wildwood Convention Center as part of the annual event.
The weekend comes to a conclusion on Saturday with the annual parade of apparatus from across New Jersey. High school marching bands will perform in the parade, including our very own from Cinnaminson High School.
The Hunter's Heroes Foundation will have a tent at the annual convention for the fourth consecutive year. This event was one of Lt. Christopher Hunter's favorite of the year. He enjoyed visiting the seaside town with his brothers and sisters from the fire service, while getting to spend some quality time with his family.
Make sure you stop by our tent to spin our wheel of prizes, pick up a brochure of upcoming events, or simply to chat with one of our foundation members. You can also try your luck at the wheelbarrow of cheer we have been compiling for the past couple of months. Thanks so much to everyone who donated to make this the best wheelbarrow of cheer yet.
Our next big event, the 3rd Annual Beef and Beer, will be held on Saturday, November 17 at The Venue at Lenola. The night of fun, prizes, surprises, food and drink begins at 7pm. Tickets go on sale for this great night on October 1.
If you cannot make it down to Wildwood next weekend for the Firemen's Convention you can always keep up to date with all we are doing by following us on Facebook or checking out our blog. If you would like to donate to our cause you can do so here.
